the words, “$50? I saw that the other day at Target for $9.99.”
You have always

because the artists that used to supply you have quit in frustration because
their designs have be ripped off and produced cheaply overseas. These inexpensive
look-a-likes try to give the impression that they are the same artist-made
to items typically found in specialty shops. They show up everywhere and
your distinctiveness, which is your lifeblood, is lost. Retail chains like
Target are even creating their own designer lines such as Michael Graves.
But because of their size, they can have these items produced very inexpensively
overseas. So you constantly monitor the chains to see what they are
selling so that you can stay one step ahead.

not find their way into a retail chain. We can't guarantee that you will

products are built from the ground up, unlike many "art" lamps which incorporate
lamp kits such as the ones found in most craft stores. Copying our products
is difficult since you won't find the parts used in our products at craft
stores or lamp parts suppliers.
Lumenelle constantly
introduces new designs. By the time it takes to bring a copy of one of
our products to market, we are several new design forward. Our strength
of producing low volume, limited edition lighting products is the weakness
of high volume low cost producers.
Our products are
protected by patent or copyright law as appropriate. Peter Janko and Ken
Larson have a combined 50+ years of product design experience and as such,
are thoroughly familiar with methods of protecting intellectual property.
Lumenelle considers
intellectual property as sacred. We do not copy anyone else and we do not
tolerate the theft of our designs and vigorously pursue infringers.
